Monday 11th- Friday 15th May 2020 Hello everyone, I hope that you are all keeping well. Thank you for your emails last week. The girls have been doing some fantasic work and it is great to see your lovely photos each week. I have uploaded some photos of work completed at home on our blog for all to see. Please continue to send in work weekly. Do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions about this week's work. MATHS (daily)
This week’s topic is DATA. Everyone will need the attached worksheets. There is one per day. If you do not have printing facilities, they can be used as an oral activity where your child calls out the correct number/answer. It is also possible to have your child write down the answers on a separate piece of paper. Ask your child questions about the data provided. E.g. worksheet 3: What was the most popular treat? How many more children liked lollipops than candy canes?* Which was the least popular treat? How many less children liked gingerbread men than ice-cream?* *Stress the need to find the DIFFERENCE between the two amounts. Online Maths Games: Note: You will have to use your login to FolensOnline for these. https://content.folensonline.ie/programmes/PlanetMaths/PMSI/resources/activitya/pm_si_024/index.html https://content.folensonline.ie/programmes/PlanetMaths/PMSI/resources/activities/pm_si_047/index.html https://content.folensonline.ie/programmes/PlanetMaths/PMSI/resources/activitya/pm_si_076/index.html IRISH (daily) If you have not done so already, you will need to download the Bua na Cainte programme for Irish. It's quite straightforward.
