Some very talented musicians from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann played for us for our whole school céilí. We watched 2 6th class girls perform Irish dancing, and the older classes did Ballaí Luimnigh. We joined in with the Irish dancing then. We had great fun!
We have been exploring money in our Maths lessons. We looked at the coins, and talked about their sizes, colours and values. We have had fun doing money activities with partners. Today, we set up different shops in the classroom and really enjoyed going shopping!
Bhí lá glas againn ar scoil inniú. Bhí an-spraoi againn amach sa chlós ag déanamh an focal "BEO" leis an scoil go léir. Bhí rud glas ar gach duine. Thóg Dadaí Meghan ó rang Ms. Fanning pictiúrí lena drone.
The Students' Council held a drawing and colouring competition on the theme of superheroes. Well done to Catherine who won a cool lunchbox as her prize for doing the best colouring in our class! Here she is with the girls at her table, showing their own great spring colouring.
This morning we forgot to get dressed and wore our pyjamas to school! Even some teachers too! We did it to raise money for LauraLynn, a hospice for very sick children.
We had fun playing with magnets. We discovered they can stick to lots of different things in our classroom. We learned that we say that the magnet is attracted to something, and found that the magnet is attracted to some types of metal. We did an experiment where we talked about different materials and predicted whether the magnet would be attracted to them. Then we carried out the experiment. We were surprised at some of the results.
We have been having great fun every Friday morning with Niall, our Gaelic coach from Colmcille's GAA club. We practice our throwing, catching and kicking skills.
