We have been enjoying learning new skills in gymnastics with our coaches.
We have had a busy month in Senior Infants but are settling in well in our new classroom with our new teacher.
Our Aistear theme for September was the Doctor's Surgery. We learned about the important work that doctors and nurses do to help us in our community. We had fun pretending to be doctors, nurses, receptionists and patients in our role play corner. We made appointments, wrote prescriptions, and used the doctor's tools to treat our patients. We used play-doh to make stethoscopes, syringes, plasters and cakes for the patients. We built hospitals, hospital beds and x-ray machines at the construction table. The people living in our small world traveled by ambulance to visit the doctor. We were very creative as we made doctor's bags in art, get well soon cards and various creations at our junk art station. We also listened to stories and sang songs about visiting the doctor. |
